Game Notes Notes – McNeese State

I didn’t notice a lot of notable things.

• Dillon Winfrey is listed as keeping his starting cornerback spot. And he’s also replaced Croom on kick returns. I’m excited to see what he can do since people will likely continue kicking it away from Grandy when they can.
• It looks like our leading tackler, Rojae Jackson, could be out for the game.
  

  UCA should have linebacker Zach Bush back this week after
  missing three of six games this season. Linebacker Rojae Jackson
  is questionable after an injury last week against Nicholls. Safety
  Karl Brady is expected back after missing last week’s game.

• A quick review of last year’s 21-18 UCA win:
  • McNeese missed a field goal in the third quarter and had five interceptions.
  • Cody Stroud was sacked five times.
  • Jesse Grandy was held to two catches for just one yard.
  • Dominque Croom had an 81-yard touchdown catch.
  • The Bears were up 21-7 at the half but were shut out in the second half. That meant McNeese threw 22 passes in the second half.
  • The last of those pass attempts was an interception by Jestin Love with just 17 seconds remaining.
