Martin got a taste of Kentucky's new "air raid" offense and fell 59-14 after trailing 52-0....

Some stats from the game:

UTM vs UK

FDs: 25/24
Total Offense: 308(4.9yds)/656(10.8 )
Rushing: 183(3.9)/234(8.4 )
Passing: 23/34/2 and 22/32/0
Pass Yards: 215(6.3)/ 422(12.8 )
3rd downs: 4/14 and 8/57
4th down: 5/5 and 1/2
TOs: 5 vs 0

Skyhawk offense stats look a lot like UCA's at TTU except we were +2 on TOs and they were (5).

We owe them from last year. That is one that should not have gotten away from us. Is downtown Conway painted up purple? Are all the businesses showing their support? I have not been able to come to town since early July, so I haven`t seen anything. Fill me in! I know downtown Jonesboro is painted all Red, White, and Black (watched a KTHV news story)

See you guys Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree! We owe them for last year. That was a heart-breaker and probably kept us out of the playoffs. I fully expect a different outcome on the stripes!

Since 2010 their record the week following a loss is really good. We need to ruin that. Willie Matthews needs to show out since several of his classmates ended up at Martin. They are a good program but not great. We should get em` this year. I say lets give them a raucous welcome to Cow Town.

I don't remember being much more disappointed in an effort than that UTM game last season.

I am going to try and make it down to Conway for the game, but may not be able to. Honestly our crowd may be especially light this week since the yearly festival Martin has is this weekend. My question is the game going to be streamed through the UCA sports web site? Thanks for the help and good luck this weekend.

Do the UTM skyhawks have a message board?

Thanks!

I agree Trey, that was lackluster at best.

The UT-Maritin game last year was pretty indicative of the entire season. It was not fun watching Conque mail it in his last year, but I feel there is a whole new culture with the program now. I can't remember the last time the bears played such a clean ball game against that quality of an opponent.

This will probably be a 4 hour ball game with two high powered offenses. If UCA can avoid a letdown from the intense atmosphere in Lubbock, the bears should be able to separate themselves in the 2nd half. Hopefully, being the first home game should boost the players enough to get over the great effort last Saturday.

Welcome to the board Parkhill.....

"Come early (Volleyball at 3pm vs Tulsa)
Make noise (to support those Bears)
Show respect (to our visitors)
Stay late (for the BMB 5th Quarter show)"

In the past, the steams have been free (albeit poor quality). We shall see what this year holds.

Absolutely love the new regime but no way in hell Conque mailed it in last year. Despite all those injuries & we had some at Martin, Conque managed to get some big wins down the stretch. It would have been easy for the team to have gotten down & he kept them together & we ended up with a decent record. We were at every game, just my two cents. Conque is gone & we have a great new coach, staff & a bunch of excitement, go Bears!

I wasn't going to comment on this, but you did and I agree totally. The loss at Colorado seemed to take too long to recover from (poor performances in the loss to UTM and Missouri State in an ugly win). But if you watched the Sam Houston game or talked to him near or at the end of the season, there's no way to believe he or the team had mailed it in.
