In Rockwall now. Just a little over a 3 hour drive from
Pilke County. Another 30 minutes to Plano. Probably a 5
hour trip from Conway. Bear fans can leave at 8 am tomorrow
And make the kickoff.

It is worth repeating that ACU is not some 4-5 team ready for another loss. They have lost five games to: Georgia State (FBS) by 1 on road, Northern Arizona by 6, Lamar by 3, McNeese by 11 on road and Sam Houston State by 17 on road. Their best win may be a 21-0 win over Incarnate Word although they beat by 3 what has been shown to be a weak Troy (FBS).

The stats for the Lamar game (24-21 loss at home) may give some insights into the Widlcats.

Ran for 202 (5.2 per) and gave up 148 (4.2 per).

Threw 21-36-247 and gave up 23-46-316.

Tallied 3 sacks but gave up 5.

Won time of possession 31-29.

Very good punt and KO coverage with solid punting.

De’Andre Brown ran for 107 and Herschel Sims for 96 but gave up a 147 yard performance to Lamar RB.

Against McNeese they gave up 304 rushing ad 203 passing;

Against Sam they gave up 175 via run and 277 thru air; HOWEVER, ACU ran for only 31 but passed for 414.

In all SLC games ACU avgs 28 per game and gives up only 21 while Bears score 50+ and give up 27.

ACU avgs 439 total offense and gives up 371 while UCA is 461 and 358.

Bears outrushes opponents 222-177 while ACU is 137-155.

UCA out passes foes by 239-181 while ACU has a SLC leading 301 aerial attack as they give up 216.

The two teams are 1-2 in SLC pass efficiency and 4-5 in pass defense efficiency.

Bears lead SLC at 51% 3rd down conversion and 3rd down defense at 34%; ACU is 31 and SLC leading 27.

For 4th down conversions Bears are 46% and a SLC bottom 78% 4th down defense; ACU is 42% and 50%.

Both teams are +6 on TO margin.

UCA has 96% redzone scoring % but 88% redzone defense; ACI is 89% and 64%.

Rushing: UCA advantage
Rushing defense: Even
Passing: ACU advantage
Pass defense: UCA advantage (wow)
Conversion: Even
Redzone: ACU with better defense
Punting and returns: UCA
KOs and returns: Slight UCA advantage
Intangibles: Slight UCA due to playoff stakes…

Looking for a tough game...but I think the Bears will prevail.
Too much at stake to have a letdown. Running game will spell
the difference today. Matthews, Veasley & Thomas will pound
the ACU defense into submission behind a O- Line that has become
nasty the past few weeks. And don't forget that the Bears have more
than a few weapons at receiver...

Cade Munden will start at QB for ACU with Parker McKenzie out due to concussion.

Hope your right Foot, I hear their front 4 is one of the best we'll see. If the Oline performs like last week we will be in good shape

ULM trails TAM 21-16 mid Q4...Bears would be picked to beat ULM by 4-10 points.....not much yet in FCS games except #4 Villanova lost and Mo State is in a battle on road at #19 Indiana State...Maroon Bears win could help us out ratings and SOS....

Go UCA Bears!!

More inexplicable SLC officiating......no replay of one close play and then relpay one moments later....Defense has got to get into the game very fast....two gifts to ACU in Q1....

Do we have 11 defenders on the field? Very poor play.

Where is our defense?! Why can't we hold on to the football... this would be an embarrassing loss and end our playoff hopes.
