Congrats to Desmond Smith for breaking Mike Norvell's record and becomimg UCA's all time leader in receptions. The record was 213 and he broke it vs. Sam Houston State last Saturday. The new record is 217 and counting... Way to go Mr. Smith...  BPSG _________________ GO BEARS |

a great four years Desmond!!! 54 yards Saturday would eclipse Aaron Fairooz's receiving yardage record of 2,797. I certainly hope that Jeff makes the announcement during the game about these accomplishments. Another perfect weather game Saturday. I can't remember a year with good weather for every game like we've had . Get to Estes Saturday and support these guys !!!! |

If he only needs 54 yards, that record will fall in the first half...it's been more than fun to watch this kid play for the Bears the past 4 years. The official stats show Desmond getting 61 receiving yards vs. Illinois State on Saturday...with 2 TD's to boot. This means he has broken UCA records in consecutive weeks. My hat is off to Mr. Smith. BPSG _______________ GO BEARS |
