Coach Campbell's record for 3 years is :
6-6; 7-4, 10-3.

Win over good (not great) FBS team, win over good MVC team, and matched up talent wise with legit top teir FCS team better than we ever had.

This staff is building a sustainable foundation that can compete at the top of FCS.
And, from my corner of the world, is 1-2 years ahead of schedule.

The next two months are important and should be very rewarding. Sit back, enjoy the memories, and look forward to even increased success.

GO BEARS!

I certainly agree with all of this...Coach Campbell and his staff have done an
excellent job in moving this program forward.

I didn't play the game and I know Foot did..

But I'm not going to blame the Xs and Os until we have a full compliment of Jimmy's and Joes.

We do not have the same athletes to match up with EWU, yet.

OL needs to mature just a little and be a bit stronger; RBs need break away speed; need more "skilled" talent at TE.

On D need more speed at LB and a few more like #1.

I did play the game, and wasn't that impressed with EWU, they are 1 dimensional and dink the ball down the field. The defense did what it needed to do early keep them in front and tackle when they catch it. our offense is to predictable, and yes they will run no matter what, without changing to take what the defense gives them. When your top WR has 4 targets all game, and your second WR has 5 targets (EWU top WR had 5 targets in the first drive) your not playing with a full deck.

I hate to say it but that offense is not going to put butts in the seat because the casul football fan won't watch and will lose interest fast.

As I have stated earlier this year, we needed to be more balanced, and be able to pass when we want, not just when we have to. We have the receivers and the qb to do so many things, I don't know why we don't take what the defense gives us, we cld have done the same thing yesterday, as far as passing the ball. We just do not. When the box is stacked or we can't block , we need to get the ball out quick and let guys make plays, We can do it, we just got to commit to it. I believe our coach understand this, they are sharp. I just think they will look back and see them at we need to step up the passing attack to compliment our offenses and get up to the top tier. Go Bears

I think Coach Campbell was the best hire Dr. Teague could have made for
UCA football and I say that with all sincerity. I love the fact that His philosophy
is to be physical on both sides of the ball and to establish a solid running attack,
control the clock and limit the other teams possessions. It keeps the game
within reach and allows the Bears to wear opponents down and win it in the
end. This served the Bears well this year...ie Arkansas State, Lamar and Nicholls.

UCA is imo, solidly on the FCS map as a top 25 team now with a win over a good
Illinois State team of the MVC and should be a consistant playoff team from here
on out.

I'm certainly behind Coach Campbell and his staff as I have been all along. He
is a solid guy who recruits quality young men to represent UCA and that makes
me a proud alumni to say the least...

The program is without a doubt headed in a positive direction under the
guidance of the UCA coaching staff and I think we all see that.

Looking forward to signing day and all the new BEARS...

BPSG
