I say we are going to "whip" Murphy state by 5 TDs. Horses are good for racing..not football. It doesn't work like that...none of this works like that...

What do we know about the Racers? They are in the Ohio Valley Conf. They are ranked #22 in the FCS in total offense after one week They piled up 67 points in a 67-7 victory last week The university is in Murray Kentucky Sounds like their offense is in mid season form already. |

While I hate that for that young man, I'm really hoping it would not matter a lot. Last year, we had a pretty salty run defense. Kansas State was not a game I felt we could judge the effectiveness of our defensive front. This game will be. I hope we see some of the grit our defense showed last year come Saturday. |

We also know that their first opponent, Kentucky Wesleyan, did not receive any votes in the pre-season D2 coaches poll and did not end last year in the D2 Top 40. Other than 2014, KW has not had a winning season since 1999. One QB is a redshirt senior named Cameron Birse who was a 3000+ yard passer in high school in California then was at Arkansas State as a backup for three years. Junior DB Rico McGraw was a highly rated high school player from Nashville, TN (Rivals 4 star) who played two seasons at Georgia starting five games as a freshman and had eight tackles vs Tennessee. Have a bunch of O-linemen in the 6-2 to 6-8 range from 290-320. Nice looking stadium that seats about 17,000. http://www.goracers.com/facilities/?id=86 Pretty tough schedule from now forward.... #16 UCA @Missouri State.......put up 43 at Mizzou in a track meet Austin Peay.....lost to Cincinnati by only 26-14 @Louisville............Charlie's former team beat Purdue last week 35-28 @UT-Martin #33 Eastern Illinois Eastern Kentucky @ #5 Jacksonville State @SE Missouri.........lost at Kansas 38-16........wish we had played the J-Hawks In 2016....... Went 4-7 and 4-4 in OVC play............gave up 35+ per game.........lost to UCA at Murray in 2012 by 42-20 and in Conway in 2010 by 21-20....... |
