Well I see that the Bears got their usual token page and a half in this years
magazine. Which is exactly a half page more than the high schools get.
That is what I expected...but I still don't like it.

Anyway, the article quoted Coach Campbell as saying that Jackie Harvell of
Gurdon was probably the best athlete on the team. He is listed on the roster
as a running back...but to the best of my knowledge only getting reps at free
safety.

Just wondering out loud here...is the teams best running back playing defense?

What have you heard?

Why not? We had a QB move to DB.

Well, I personally think Carlos Blackman is our best RB.

As for Hootens....never bought it, never will buy it. It's good for high school or hogs. Otherwise a waste of money for Bear fans.

Wouldn't be surprised if Harrell is our best, or one of our best athletes.

Pretty confident that if he is our best RB he will be at RB. We have some good ones!

Jackie has that break away speed that the Bears have needed in the backfield.
Nothing against the other running backs...I think Carlos is a beast and the others
compliment his style very well.

Speaking of beasts! Have you seen the video of Coach Campbell benching 225 x 15 reps? Awesome!

That is so awesome, had heard he was not only passionate but a players coach as well. I'm gonna say that the average bench press for the Bears is headed for the 20's, pretty smart move by the ball coach, IMO.

I have a very good friend who is a Hog fan. Unlike most of them he did attend
the U of A and earn a degree. His oldest daughter is a UCA grad and is now
in grad school. He is able to see through all the BS that goes on within the
state. I told him that Coach Campbell did 15 reps with 225 on the bench press...
and true to form he said, "that ain't nothing...did you hear that Beliema ate
15 plates of catfish at the Catfish Hole in Fayetteville"

That's some funny stuff...
