Looking at both teams stats and results, we'll be favored with either team we play. I don't see either one being able to hang with our WR core or RBs for an entire game.

Hoping attendance is better than last year's Illnois St. game (can't be much worse). There's a lot more hype and excitement this year, so I'm betting it will be. Weather needs to cooperate

If we can get to the Quarters, and SDSU comes to town...overflow crowd.

Illinois State crowd was flat out embarrassing.

That being said, all the attendance for the 1st weekend of playoffs last year, and typically every single year is way down due to being on thanksgiving weekend. (No students, everyone out of town etc) so it definitely wasn’t just us.

Playoff games for us will obviously be better attended than last year, and the further we go, it could get pretty crowded depending on who wins/loses. I’m excited, to say the least.

I think that the New Hampshire vs CCSU game is kind of a toss up though I'm going to give it to New Hampshire. Whoever wins that game however I feel like we can take them as long as we keep on doing what we've been doing and that we don't make basic mistakes like we did last year vs Illinois State and definitely against Eastern Washington. Hopefully we'll have a larger crowd than last year vs. Illinois State seeing as how it won't be Thanksgiving weekend and the word about our bears has really started to spread. I've never been more disappointed in our fans than that day.. at least the band was there! I say we keep our heads and face South Dakota State in the quarter finals where we'll really be tested but I believe we can pull through especially with them coming to our turf (which is a beautiful field despite all the other fan forums from other teams claiming it to be hideous). The only thing scaring me is potentially having to face JMU to get to the finals. Other than that, excellent job this season for UCA and I'm glad to see three SLC teams in the playoffs (still think McNeese should be there as well) and I'm glad to see our conference improve which will only help us get even better. Roll Bears!

Team Comparisons. If we beat either of those teams, then we will most likely play SDSU in Conway. I’ve included them in the comparison. They play in a VERY tough MVFC conference so getting the numbers they have…well, they EARNED those. They beat NDSU, Ill state, and South Dakota. They are a VERY good team. But they will likely have to get by a UNI team that already beat them this year.

UCA- 99
NHU- 163

There is no doubt that South Dakota State is a formable opponent if the Bears
win the first one and SDSU beat Nicholls St.

Most people forget that there are no FBS programs in the Dakotas and therefore
the schools there have somewhat of an advantage over traditional FCS institutions.

Either way...to be the best, you have to play and beat the best...

FCS Championship at Toyota Field in Frisco
1/6/18

#2 North Dakota State 17
#1 James Madison 13

Bisons led 17-6 at half.........both teams end 14-1.......NDSU total offense margin was 264 v 241.......JMU has 3 TOs and NDSU none.........key plays were roughing punter by JMU in Q1 on otherwise Bisons 3 and out that led to a TD and a 50 yard TD pass in Q2...........Dukes missed a makeable FG that forced them to go for TD on 4th down under one minute rather than kick a winning FG..........Bisons ended game with 4 seconds left on 4th down at own 37 by punter running backward and going down at own 7.......

Sounds like two best FCS teas played and very little difference between them...........TOs are lethal in big games .....
