Outright champs. 9-0 in conference. Not much to say about tonight. Dominate on both sides of the ball. Wind was a major factor for both offenses. Now, where do we get seeded? JMU will be 1. I think we have made a case for #2. I can see NDSU or SDSU jumping us though. JSU is overrated, but could be above us as well. That leaves us, realistically, somewhere between 2-5. I think we will be #4, but would love the 3 seed. |

The wind was a major factor........kickoffs were clearly affected, several punts and lots of passes that floated.......... it seemed that after we got up 14-0 and our defense was shutting them down to near zero, we just ran clock and gobbled up yards (319) ...............Cats could only manage 25 yards rush on 20 carries........the long TD pass to Cox on the 3rd play into the wind was exceptional and Cox put on the jets into the end zone.......RBs had very good night....Blackman, Crossley and Cooper (terrific long TD run) ran tough running over people....... Bears total offense 495 vs 172......Bears' defense tonight was superb except for one 30+ yard pass reception late vs the 2s........Ponder has the rugby end over end kick down pat..........HH had a very nice 35 yd quick kick to the ACU 10...Cummins 2/2 FGs and 4/4 PATs..... Bears almost made it look routine day at the office vs a team that came very close to beating #4 Sam Houston State last week........ Congrats on 10-1 regular season, 9-0 as SLC Champ and 10-0 vs FCS.......... |
