*disclaimer* Am aware I’m beating a dead horse here, but does anyone know if the Central Arkansas media is aware that there is even a university here in Conway? I’ve listened to sports radio all last week, so far this week, read papers, read articles online, and there’s been little to no mention of this team.

Guess we’d all rather talk about the school up on the hill’s hopeless searches for an AD and HC that will lead them to their mythical national championship that won’t ever happen, barring a miracle.

It just frustrates me. This team is a hell of team, and they deserve the proper support for it.

*ADG has had a few articles in the last week or so about UCA, and the Log Cabin has as well, but does the log cabin even count as news paper anymore? Don’t think so. They’ve got more typos in their articles than actual words.

Here it is in a nutshell...just messaged "The Show with no Name" about
lack of coverage. They spent about 30 seconds on UCA, jumped over to ASU and
back to the pigs. Hell they don't even know who the Bears play on Saturday.
They said it was Northern Connecticut.

Why do you give them any attention... adg and 103.7 are basically part of the hogs marketing operation...............I am far more concerned about getting our alums and students at our events in larger numbers........we can fill Estes and Farris with our alums in 30 mile radius only..........it starts with each class of students ....

Yes you are beating a dead horse. In the Jan 1, 2017 ADG, Wally Hall’s Top 10 for 2016 had no mention of UCA’s 10 wins or 2nd round playoff trip. Nada. Not sure what we can do besides voice our displeasure. If I’m not mistaken, KARK’s “sports” is called “Razorback Nation.” I looked yesterday and they had pig reports, and links to pro sports stories. Pitiful and the people of AR deserve better. All I know is I have 4 tickets for Saturday (wife and I are bringing our 7 and 11 YO girls to their first UCA game). That is what I asked for as a BDay present from my wife! Ha.

I've been thinking the same thing. The media is not too big on our Bears which is such a shame. I was thinking of printing off some of the new graphics promoting the game this Saturday and putting them on campus and finding businesses in Conway that might put them up just so Conway is more aware. I bought 4 tickets for me and some family and friends with more coming so we'll bring quite a few! Also, when I bought my tickets a few others were there getting multiple so hopefully it's a huge crowd Saturday!

It almost seems if there is an unwritten code with the state media not to mention UCA in any shape form or fashion...cause it might take away from the spotlight being shined on uaf. Maybe that somehow the Bear football program is a threat to their vision of one state, one team philosophy. That UCA's success over the last 40 plus years makes them look bad and the fewer people that know about it, the better. That if they spend more that 20 seconds on the Bears during their broadcast they will be sent to the PIT OF MISSERY. DILLY, DILLY Like I've said before...Justin Acri on "The Zone" from 10 am to 1 pm is the only voice the Bears have in this state. Call in to his show on 103.7 The Buzz and talk up the Bears.

Not sure "they" consider Bears, or ASU for that matter a threat, but they sure do us no favors in their attempt to enforce the "one state, one team philosophy". No media coverage, no games with in-state completion (nothing to gain and everything to lose mentality). But they will play that monster Florida A&M. Even with all of that being said, many of the issues are within our alumni, students, and the UCA administration's influence and control. Keep improving and moving forward. Support "your" Bears!

If it was not for Acri on the mid day show, UCA would get almost 0 coverage on that station.

I’m going to message them as well. UCA deserves at least “some” air time. I’m not asking for much here, just give us a little bit! Encourage all of you to message them and express your displeasure with how little coverage we are receiving. Need to have our voices heard.

Amen, JRK. The word is “ownership”. It’s our university and it’s our Bears. Both deserve our student’s and our alumni’s unwavering support. We can’t expect anyone else to provide it if we don’t. If you know a student or alumni, get them to the game Saturday. Support increases one fan at a time. A special thanks to those on this board, all true Bear fans. Support “YOUR” Bears!

And one of the comments- “I’ll echo those sentiments on the D2 coaches doing work” I think most casual fans just aren’t educated enough about non-P5 football.
