Hackett vs. Hartford is a bitter rivalry that is usually a death match of a game. No one in either town cares if they win another game all year. As long as you win that one.

Cabot vs. Conway, Vilonia vs. Greenbrier, Heber Springs vs. Clinton, Beebe vs Lonoke and Harrison vs. Mt. Home are a few more.

Some no longer play every year...but....

Bentonville v Rogers, Springdale v Fayetteville, Van Buren v Alma, Benton v Bryant, Pine Bluff v LR Central, Southside v Northside, Pine Bluff v PB Dollarway (Cardinals were always very tough...count on a sellout), Des Arc v Hazen, Conway vs Russellville

Hard to argue with Luke's list....

PB Dollarway

UGH!
This is a pet peeve of mine. It's just Dollarway. Sure, it's in Pine Bluff, but so is Watson Chapel, and it's not Pine Bluff Watson Chapel. Why do people do this? It's a totally different district that just happens to be in the same city limits. And it's not like there's another Dollarway that we are trying to distinguish this one from.

I don't know who in the media made the decision to randomly add Pine Bluff before Dollarway, but I would love to hear the reasoning. And then to verbally assault said reasoning as foolish.

In the old days there was Pine Bluff, Pine Bluff Dollarway,PB Southeast, PB Merrill, Townsend Park, PB Coleman (although maybe in county), White Hall (separate city..although I have seen adg in years past say PB White Hall which makes no sense) and Watson Chapel (only part of district crosses over into PB ).... Dollarway is a part of PB proper.......

Under the proposed protocol there is no Ft Smith Northside, only Northside...no Springdale Har-Ber....... no Rogers Heritage.......no Little Rock Central....drop the LR and is Central from Helena-West Helena or LR.....

People "in market" do not need the monikers but lots of people have no idea where schools are without the city name....

I typically use mascot names.....Zebras, Cardinals, Wildcats, Bulldogs when talking to family....

You are free to call them whatever you like....

You didn't read what I said; or you did and you're still comparing apples to oranges. Northside and Southside are part of the Fort Smith School District. Har-Ber is a part of the Springdale district. Hall, Mills, Parkview, etc are all a part of the Little Rock School District.

Get the point here? It makes sense to include the city designation - because they are a part of the same district. It's pretty simple. Dollarway is a part of the Dollarway school district, not Pine Bluff's. It's just Dollarway.

And the "Central" argument still doesn't hold true, because there is no other Dollarway.

And only part of the Dollarway district is inside the city limits. I grew up 10 minutes outside of the PB city limits, part of the Dollarway district. Kinda like some kids from Watson Chapel, huh? They aren't (routinely) PB Watson Chapel.

I don't know why it's so hard to understand. You're free to call it whatever you'd like to. It's just means you're going to be wrong.

I actually knew that. Had a former co-worker from around Hensley that traveled up to Mills for school. Bad example on my part.

Where is Charleston vs. Lavaca?! This list is incomplete without these 2 on it!
These towns are 10 miles apart. You have people who are related, go to church with each other, even live across the road from each other. But when the lights come on at game time, it's WAR!!! And I won't even get into the pranks!

You are right. I grew up playing in this conference as a Hackett Hornet (no longer in the same classification as these two). Charleston-Lavaca and Hackett-Hartford should certainly be on this list.

There are some schools who had to end their series because it had gotten so bad, Beebe vs. Bald Knob and Walnut Ridge vs. Hoxie, and I'm sure there are more.
