The Sugar Bears will hopefully pick up SLC win #2 Sturday night at the Farris Center at 6pm. They take on 2-15 McNeese State. McNeese is 2-15, currently on a 11 game losing streak, and are 0-4 in the SLC. That is all I have on them, besides their name is the Cowgirls and they have lost 3 players to injuries this year.

don't forget, AFTER the Sugar Bears game tomorrow night, the Papa John's Post Game Show will air on both 'The Bear' 91.3 KUCA, 1230 am KCON and on UCAsports.com.

There will be highlites of both the Bears' and Sugar Bears' games, coaches interviews, and any and everyone is welcome to call in to talk Bears or Sugar Bears basketball. The phone number is (501) 450-3290. This is something new that we are trying to do to help expand the coverage of both teams...it's really for the fans to have some where to go after the game to talk, so hopefully this will be well received.

yes we won! They have won 2 in a row to jump into a tie for 2nd or 3rd in the East. The came out and for the exception of when the game was tied 2-2, the Sugar Bears led from start to finish. a 4 point lead at half quickly turned into a 21 point lead 3 minutes into the 2nd half on the strength of a 21-4 run to come out of the locker room. Alex Velazquex, career high 12 points. Shannon Oden, I think had or tied a career high of 7 points. The team blocked 10 shots. They came out and for the most part dominated a team they should have and took care of business. They swept the 2 game home stand! Now back to the road next week to Southeastern La and Nicholls St. They are playing with a ton of confidence, they are getting healthy, and they have a favorable schedule for the most part, although SELA, Stephen F. Austin and Northwestern St are going to be tough ones still.

Pleased with the crowd again tonight, hopefully they continue to grow.
