Herbert, Loyd Named Southland Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week Herbert recorded her 48th career double-double Quote: In the Sugar Bears’ 58-46 win against Alabama, Herbert grabbed 18 rebounds and scored 17 points to record her 48th career double-double. The junior from Rogers, Ark. (Shiloh Christian H.S.), contributed to nearly 40 percent of the team’s rebounds, and she was a major factor in UCA outrebound the Crimson Tide by 10 and scoring 21 second-chance points. It was UCA’s first-ever win against a Southeastern Conference opponent.

http://www.collegesportsmadness.com/womans-basketball/weekly-awards Did it again here,too! So that's SLC Player of the Week number 11 for her career. Carone Harris has the most in UCA history with 15 if I'm not mistaken. |

It is the fourth award of the season for Herbert and the 11th in her career. In the two road victories at Northwestern State and UT Arlington last week, Herbert had consecutive double-doubles and averaged 22.5 points and 13.5 rebounds. She did her best work when the Sugar Bears needed it most, averaging 18 points on 68.8 percent shooting and 6.5 rebounds in the second half alone to help UCA come from behind twice to preserve their position atop the league standings and extend their Southland-best winning streak to seven games... |
