It's time to give Matt a raise! Gotta keep him here as long as possible. He's a great coach that I know will one day move onto a larger program...but let's keep him here and establish a tradition of winning. Where do I donate to his salary?

Did that come out wrong or something?

1. Yes we have a winning tradition....maybe my word wasn't right there...don't know exactly what to say other than I want him here as a long term coach to keep up that winning we have established with him.

2. I think we need to pay him more. Is that why he would be leaving? Then let's pay him more.

3. My meager pennies may not add up to much in his salary, but many people giving the same might bump it up enough that he stays.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall basketball coach Tom Herrion will be paid $394,000 annually under the terms of his new five-year contract.

That's because Marshall officials were rolling over Chadwick's five-year contract annually until Hamrick halted the practice after last season. But it still means if Marshall terminated Chadwick now, the school would have to pay off the final three years of his pact -- a sum of about $300,000.

MU obviously can't afford that.

Sound like a great contract? That's not the half of it. Besides a base salary of about $100,000, Chadwick also is paid $1,000 per win and receives additional compensation for graduating players and speaking engagements.
