Rundown of results for this week's road opponents: Big road games.....both winnable ...have to bring A game in keep top spot in SLC... Thursday @McNeese State (4-3/11-7) This has turned out to be a tough rivalry over the past few years. OOC wins over Wiley, Rice, Fairleigh Dickinson, LIU-Brooklyn, UL-Monroe, La Tech and Southern OOC losses to Tulane by 25, Texas Southern by 16, Georgia Tech by 9 and Baylor by 25 SLC results --- L to SELA at home by 17 W over UNO at home by 23 W on road at SHS by 4 L to Lamar on road by 14 W over TAMCC by 28 at home...SBs won at home by 4 W over HBU at home by 4...SBs won by 13 at home L at home to NSU by 8 Saturday @Nicholls State (4-3/9-9) OOC wins over Southern, South Alabama, Texas Sotuhern, La Tech and Bethune-Cookman. OOC losses to Baylor, Georgetown, UC-Riverside, Texas A&M, Stetson and Southern Miss. SLC results --- W by 49 over UNO at home W by 29 over SELA at home L by 16 to Lamar on the road L to SHS by 1 on the road L to HBU by 5 at home....SBs won at home by 13 W by 7 over TAMCC at home...SBs won at home by 4 W by 8 over McNeese on road |

1/30/14 End of H1: UCA 46 MSU 27 So far, so good......best SBs have come out of the blocks vs a good team on road in some time....Cowgirls will fight back so no time to slow down.....Proffitt leads with 12 and Duever with 9.....4/6 from 3 land.....8/8 FTs....25-12 reb advantage...53% FG% ..... |

1/30/14 FINAL http://www.ucasports.com/news/2014/1/30/WBB_0130142817.aspx UCA 46-19=65 (7-1/13-6)...still #1... MSU 27-23=50 (4-4/11-8) No OT this time.... Excellent defense..again....+12 rebs, held MSU to only 38% FGs....SBs 47% FGs, 50% 3s and 93% FTs....+10 FTs....+7 seconds per avg possession (SBs 22 vs MSU 15)...Proffitt had 17, Duever 15/12 DD and Mullins 12/7.... SBs had very balanced scoring ...Duever 13/8, Sadler, Mullins, McClure and Rice each had 11..... Let a winnable road game get away....long bus trip home.....still top spot alone but Nicholls and Lamar only one game back..... |
