SBs missed 10 FTs..... Duever was 21/15 and only 1 TO...tremendous effort.....Agee had 10... Two good teams...need to win out now..... |

3/3/14 FINAL WEEK SBs now have to win the SLC the hard way on the road.....nothing easy about these two.....win at NWS and a 3-way tie with Lamar and SFA possible but not having tie breaker over either.... UCA starts with Northwestern State on Thursday. SBs won 73-61 at FC in late Jan..... Lady Demons are 9-7 (9-2 at home) and tied for 6th with TAMCC and coming off a 5-game road schedule where they had wins at Lamar (by 7), SELA and UNO with losses to SHS (by 4) and SFA (by 17).....they will be ready for home court advantage... On Sat SBs go to Nac to take on SFA is 11-5 (10-3 at home) and in 2nd place ...4 of last 5 on road.....beat NWS at home by 17...lost by 2 to Lamar, beat SHS by 6, beat UNO by 32 and SELA by 13....Jacks play ORU at home on Thursday. and could certainly end up tied at top.... Lamar has the easier road to the top with UNO at home then SELA at home.....looks likes Cards are in driver seat to win conference at 13-5 meaning SBs have to sweep to have to win SLC and have top seed in tourney.... |

3/6/14 FINAL UCA 18-27=45 NWS 31-46=77 Wow...not much to say.... Duever played only 17 minutes....8/4 night and only one foul..so did she come down ill during game on get injured? Mullins led with 11 and Agee had 10......33% shooting and only got to line 3 times.....Demons shot 63% for 2-pt FGs....sounds like a defensive collapse by SBs... SFA eases by ORU by 72-52....now 12-5 Lamar crushes UNO by 83-51...now 12-5 Nicholls slips by HBU by 73-69 ... 11-6 UCA now 12-5...#1 seed still up for grabs if SELA can beat Lamar and UCA can beat SFA..... |

SLC Tourney SBs open on Friday, 3/14/14 at 1:30pm vs Winner of McNeese/TAMCC game on 3/13/14. After a very rough finish, let's hope the SBs are well rested and ready to go and take care of business. UCA won on road at McNeese back on 1/30 by 65-50 and slipped by TAMCC way back on 1/2 at FC by 66-62. Our troubles seemed to start with a 45-42 loss to TAMCC on 2/13 at CC.....win this game and SBs would have tied for for championship....have some unfinished business to attend to.... |
