Sugarbears drop a heart-breaker at home tonight vs UNO 52-48. Our offense just couldn’t get anything going and we missed several free throws down the stretch that could have won the game for us. It also seemed like many members of the team were under the weather. Several streaks snapped tonight, but hopefully our team will heal, respond, and start some new records. With ACU losing to SFA tonight, SFA now sits along atop the standings.

UNO@UCA

UNO 11-15-14-12=52 (4-3/8-10)
UCA 12-16-3-17=48 (6-1/13-5)

Disappointing home loss.........shot poorly all night......outscored 14-3 in Q3...........ended up behind but not enough fouls to get to the line so fouling on inbounds and precious seconds running off clock........must have missed 6-7 FTs down the stretch that would have made the difference........

UNO/UCA

FGs: 38% v 33%
3s: 33% vs 25%
FTs: 59% vs 59%
Rebs: 34 v 37
TOs: 15 v 18

UNO was +11 POTO..........Jordan led SBs with 13/11/2 night..........Baudoin 11/9 and Orr added 11........

Got to get past this and be ready to play ACU on Sat at 1pm in the FC..........

ACU@UCA

ACU 15-9-10-11=45 (6-2/12-6)
UCA 16-14-15-18=63 (7-1/14-5)

Woo hoo........nice bounce
back win over a good team...........

ACU/UCA

FGs: 41% v 48%
3s: 23% v 10% (only shot 10)
FTs: 57% vs 73%
Rebs: 22 v 36
TOs: 14 v 13

SBs +14 for POTO.........+20 PIP.........+12 2nd chance points......

Taylor B had career day with a 24/6 with Kierra Jordan a terrific game at 23/16/3...everyone scored except Goodner and she had 3 steals.......

Big road trip starts Wed at SFA then onto Northwestern and Southeastern......

HUGE matchup tonight at league-leading SFA. A win would be really nice to bring us back into a tie with them for first place. Important to note is that SFA has been off since last Wednesday when they beat SFA.

@SFA

UCA 10-11-7-18=46 (7-2/14-6)
SFA 12-7-19-21=59 (7-0/15-3)

Good game first half then Jacks did to us that we do to others and swarm in Q3..........at least we get a chance for redemption in Feb at home.........

UCA/SFA

FGs: 43% v 39%
3s: 17% vs 33% (SBs only made one 3)
FTs: 70% vs 100%
Rebs: 29 vs 29
TOs; 21 vs 15 (way too many for this time in season)

SFA +18 in POTO........nuff said.........

Jordan led with 15/6...........Baudoin at 11/6.......Orr and Jordan had 6 TOs each.........

On to Northwestern State for a 1pm tip on Saturday

@Northwestern State

UCA 13-17-11-20=61 ( 8-2/15-6)
NWS 9-13-21-10=53 (1-8/6-14)

Every conference road win is a good win but is happening in Q3 recently........we ended up trailing 43-41 after Q3. Got to be better than that.

UCA/NWS

FGs: 40% vs 42%
3s: 29% v 30%
FTs: 65% vs 58% (fortunately we were +8 on FTs)
Rebs: 37 v 26
TOs: 14 v 16

Orr led with 16/5/2...........Baudoin 14/3/2 (fouled out and only played 17 minutes).....Jordan had a very solid 11/10 game....Bozic added 12.........

Some needed rest with an open week until next Sat at Southeastern..................Go SBs!!!

Headed to OT on the road at 4-17 SELA! Tied up at 55. This team is definitely NOT playing their best basketball right now.

Went into double OT...we couldn’t get it done. I don’t know what’s up with this team. We put them away in our previous meeting. Lost 70-78.
