SLU 16-11-18-10-8-15=78 (4-7/5-17)

3s: 37% vs 36%
FTs: 73% v 79%
Rebs: 42 v 46
TOs: 15 v 14

Had we won game ball would go to Bozic who tallied 20 on 6/13 3s in only 32 minutes.....wow........Jordan was 11/8........Williams had 10.......Baudoin was 9/10...Orr, Sells and Goodner combined for only 7 points (but has 10 rebs and 10 assists).......Underwood and Williams for SLU combined for 48/20 day............

All the games are huge down the stretch, and this one is no different! We have to win if we want to keep climbing and have a chance for a double bye in the SLC tournament!

UCA@MSU

UCA 12-12-17-10=51 (10-3/17-7)
MSU 18-7-10-10=45

Any road conference win is a good win but as josh said...ugly........down 7-0 out of the gate........only one player scored in Q1..........6-3 all time in MSU's arena.....

UCA/MSU

FGs: 30% vs 34%
3s: 5% vs 31% (only 1 of 20!!!)
FTs: 53% vs 75%
Rebs: 47 v 36
TOs: 4 v 11

+14 2nd chance points..........+16 POTO...........Taylor Baudoin gets career best points and 3rd double double for season with 30/12/1 night...plus half of SBs TOs (only 2.......will take that every game!!)........44% FG% but no 3s.......Kierra Jordan added 9/4 for the game.....team only had 8 assists.......lucky to win.........

Coach: Happy for and proud of Taylor tonight.....reached 1000 points...great career here...........team still needs to learn the game better.........happy to get this win but got improvement to make.......did what it took to win on road with rebounds and low TOs........1 for 20 3s and most were wide open shots.....have not proven we can shoot from outside.......got to put the work in to be a good shooting teams.........

SBs keep pace with leaders but it does not get any easier with Nicholls on Sat and SFA next Wed.........Go SugarBears!!!

Coach is NOT happy with her players:

"Tonight they had four people on KJ at one time, and we're shooting 1 of 20 from 3. We've got to stop doing that. If you're not going to get in the gym and work on your shot, you don't come in here and have shooting practice. We were 1 for 20 and we were wide open. That's the issue I'm having – we're getting the shots. If I was scouting us, I would collapse on TB and KJ and say 'shoot it'. We've not proven ourselves shooting outside, and again we do not get in the gym extra and work on it. To be a great basketball player you've got to put the work in."

Nicholls @ UCA

Much better H2 and defense..........

NSU 13-11-11-7=42 (7-7/12-13)
UCA 13-10-18-19=60 (11-3/18-7)

NSU/UCA

FGs: 36% v 52%
3s: 38% v 27%
FTs: 88% v 64%
Rebs: 20 v 33
TOs: 18 v 17

+12 2nd chance.........Taylor B gets 29/3/2 and no TOs....Kamry Orr was a solid 13/8/4........Kierra Jordan had 5/13/3

Coach: Turned the ball over but glad it was halftime.......we beat a very good team today........Taylor Sells is the smallest player on the floor and goes and gets a key rebound.....got a lot of film to watch before the SFA game.........appreciate the crowd today.........

Important rematch with SFA at FC on Wed at 7pm..Go SugarBears!!

SFA@UCA

SFA 12-14-11-18=55 (14-1/22-4)
UCA 11-12-17-10=50 (11-4/18-8)

SFA/UCA

FGs: 32% v 36% (each had 17 made FGs)
3s: 10% v 25% (UCA +2 on made 3s)
FTs: 73% v 63% (SFA +7)
Rebs: 36 v 33
TOs: 7 v 13

SFA +6 PIP.......

Only 10 points in last 3 minutes combined...........SBs lost the Ft contest down the stretch........maybe we will get one more shot at them next week............game ball to Orr with 24/6/3 night.....Baudoin 8/6...........

Tough game Sat at ACU............Go SugarBears!!

Realizing that it is precarious comparing basketball scores but I thought it was noteworthy that the SugarBears lost to Texas A&M at College Station by 11 (72-61) while TAM won tonight in Fayetteville by 44 (104-60).
