Well the news is breaking on Twitter that the new Men's Basketball Coach at UCA will be.............. Corliss Williamson. This is not who I wanted, but I'm willing to give him a shot to see what he can do with this program. |

Corliss is a huge presence. Anyone that has had the pleasure of meeting him knows what I'm talking about. Great person that has the knowledge and leadership to be one hell of a coach. He'll do fine at recruiting. With all of that Association experience, he has instant credibility with kids who all ultimately want to play at that level. Everything I know and have heard or read about the guy points to him being a solid candidate. This is NOT just a move to sell tickets. As a UCA alum (and longtime Razorback fan), I'm excited. |

So, Coach Rip should probably have kept his mouth shut until the new school made the announcement. Well, it seems this may have come down to money, but not the way I was originally thinking. It may be that he is willing to work for a lot less than others just because he is financially secure and doesn't really need the money. Anyway, I can see positives and negatives, but I am going to wipe the slate clean and let him do his job, and hopefully do it very well! |
