I love the fact that we are getting players out of highschool now instead of JUCO! That, IMHO, is the best way to build a program.

Ran into a friend in Oklahoma today who follows OU and OSU...he knew right away that Corliss was now at UCA and that he expects to see Bears get much better faster.....he predicts OU to be in cellar in Big 12 and OSU in top 4....I had no idea he even knew about UCA but he was well aware of the home of Scottie Pippen ....

Austin Akins point guard Malcolm Canada, described by his AAU coach as an "old-school player," will take his talents to the Southland Conference next season and play with Central Arkansas.

Malcolm Canada: Rivals

Listed as the #98 player overall in Texas(Class of 2011) by Texashoops.com.

Quote:
MALCOLM is a solid built wing with a blue-collar work ethic and toughness. He takes it to the hole strong, is an aggressive finisher in the paint, gets trash with hustle off the offensive boards and runs the floor hard. He is a solid ball handler, uses his body to create in the half court and can knock down the mid-range jumper. He is a solid athlete who gets by with tough, physical play and a solid work ethic.

I heard he got talked into going JUCO and he would get a big time offer out of JUCO.
