I believe you're trying to read too much into my post. I was just pointing out the level of competition we played yesterday just like people are going to point out the level of competition against the major schools that just might slam us this season. I think we all know that Corliss is not going to be a miracle worker this year or even next year. All I ask of the players is to give a 110% no matter the outcome.

Nah, I wasn't really reading anything into your post at all. All of what I said wasn't a direct response to you, it's just that your post was the one that happened to have the D2 mention in it. I would've said all that regardless if you or anybody else had mentioned it, because I myself was sitting there during the game thinking "oh lord, we're getting beat on by a D2. Gonna be a looong year". But when I actually took a minute to think about it, I realized that it really shouldn't be any more cause for concern than losing to McNeese State or whatever. That was my way of explaining it away to myself - and knowing that it's standard practice to assume D1 > D2, I thought it was a good discussion topic. But it wasn't a direct response to you specifically – just me talking.

8) I'm just excited about a new direction for the program. Hopefully it works. If it doesn't I guess we try something else down the road. Fresh faces always seems to invigorate the team and the fans for a while even if things don't go our way initially.

Noaln's first couple of teams were really hard to watch......it may look like wild street ball but it takes very good ball handling....

For those of us that haven't done a good job of keeping up.

Dewan Clayborn and Aubrey Ball were in street clothes and Tadre Sheppard was limited and only played seven minutes.

Injuries for these three?

This team is going to be fairly short-handed all season long anyway with guys like Jordan Harks and LeQuentin Miles having to sit the full year out and Terry Tidwell not joining until after the semester.

All of these because of transferring in?

Just read where #20 Vanderbilt lost an exhibition to D2 Indianapolis.

It was actually Tennessee. By 15 points, too. Bruce Pearl may not be to Lane Kiffin status over there yet, but he may not be too far off.

Auburn lost to D2 Columbus State as well, and Alabama needed double overtime to get by Alabama-Huntsville.

Of course, if we remember last year Syracuse lost to D2 LeMoyne in the preseason then went on to a 28-4 record and a Sweet 16 appearance.

It happens.

No idea how I got Vanderbilt out of that. Must have been thinking about something else.
