EOG:

UCA 32-40 =72 (1-4/4-11)
ICW 37-50 =87 (2-1/14-2)

Bears cut it to 2 late but then could not get shots to drop ....FTs late pushed out the margin....really .....call a foul with less than one second left? Prior possession sounded like officials had no idea what to do so they gave ICW three FTs....Miles tallies 21, 13 each from McClure and Brown and Ball adds 12 on four-of-four late 3 as Bears closed a 12 point gap to 2.....Bears were 9/17 from 3 for 53%...Cards got to the FT line 34 times vs Bears only 19...pretty much the difference....Bears also were badly outrebounded by 49-32 and only got 10 offensive rebs...sloppy game with both teams pressing...19/18 TOs....

Off to Abilene.....

H2/15:15 IWU 49 UCA 45
End H1 IWU leads 37-32....Miles leads Bears with 13.....
H1/1:10 Cardinals lead 34-30....Bears cold and a couple TOs that hurt...
H1 Bears lead 30-25 land Miles has 12......

IWU 2014 Results: (1-1/13-2)

Near miss loss to SELA is best indicator of this team...loss ot North Texas which UCA defeated....

Is it me or has just about every ucasports article on the basketball headline stated "so and so defeats us by going inside". This team couldn't win a purple & gray game.

Hire a new coach already...

After leading ACU most of the game, the Bears fall in the end 73-72.

We're in huge trouble when we cannot even beat the D2 newcomers to the conference.

UCA 36-36=72 (1-4/4-12)
ACU 31-42=73 (1-3/7-10)

http://www.ucasports.com/news/2014/1/18/MBB_0118141541.aspx

Another good game form Miles with 19/7....decent scoring distribution as McClure had 13 and Brown added 10....shooting was good with 40% 3s and 54% overall...FTs were terribel at 40% AND ACU hit 10 more than Bears..there is the game.....outrebounded ACU 35-30 and TOs high but about even.....won PIP by 46-34.....won bench by 23-12.....basivcally won game except at FT line adn that was the difference...not a goal-tending at end....got to hit FTs better down stretch and close teams out....

ACU's best win was tonight but they have shown they can play with SELA and TCU.....still this was a winnable game.....tough next week with NWS and SFA at home.....

Is Ryan Williams not playing? HAve not seen him in box scores since Kansas State...he was avg about 8 ppg and about 40% for 3s and 75% FTs....

Nov 9 - L at Duquesne, 75-94
Nov 11 - L at St Bonaventure, 47-75
Nov 13 - L at Maryland, 44-67
Nov 17 - L at Iowa, 41-103
Nov 19 - L at TCU, 64-71
Nov 22 - W at Western New Mexico, 62-44
Nov 23 - W at Northern New Mexico, 78-56
Nov 25 - L at Xavier, 65-93
Nov 29 - L vs. West Alabama, 67-77
Nov 30 - L at Towson, 47-74
Dec 3 - W vs. Hillsdale (OK), 93-53
Dec 6 - Postponed vs. Open Bible College
Dec 17 - W vs. Bacone, 90-63

Our men's program is at an all-time low it appears. The experiment failed - big time.

NWS 39-37=76 (2-4/6-11)
UCA 31- 37=68 (1-5/4-13)

http://www.ucasports.com/news/2014/1/23/MBB_0123142821.aspx

Bears end up with 24-19 lead in FGs made but Demons win FTs by a staggering 31-17...Bears win offensive rebs by 18-9 ......Bears even win PIP by 34-18......just could not get back to really challenge after falling behind late in H1.....Miles leads with 25/8 but Brown and Ball were next at only 8 each...Jalen West slowed down a little bit to end at 28 for NWS and Hicks added 17 on 11/14 FTs mostly in H2....

SFA wll be a real challenge.....got to get FTs on both sides squared away...shoot better and put other guys on line a lot less...

H2/6:28 - Demons lead 62-56.....stats about even except Demons are 80% FTs (24/30)....Bears only 11/20...got to keep these guys off the FT line....Miles now has 16....

EOH: NWS leads 39-31....Bears have had 11 more shots from field and made one less basket....NWS >80% for FTs and have a 6 point margin there....miles and Ball ach have 8 for Bears ..Jalen West (for season avg 19 ppg and only 30% from 3) has 16 for Demons..got to get someone on him better....game still there to win for the Bears....

H1/2:36 - Bears trailing 32-28 but battling .... NWS very hot ((Jalen West is 80% from 3s on 4/5) ...Bears FGs only about 30%.....otherwise stats pretty even...this is a game to win....Demons unlikely to keep up the torrid shooting ...

Nov 8 - W vs. Letourneau, 92-76
Nov 15 - W at Auburn, 111-92
Nov 16 - L at LSU, 74-88

Nov 21 - L vs. ULM, 80-84
Nov 27 - L at Louisiana, 74-105
Nov 30 - W vs. Niagara, 107-100
Dec 7 - L at Memphis, 76-96
Dec 11 - L at Louisiana Tech, 71-93
Dec 14 - W vs. Louisiana Coll, 116-76
Dec 18 - L at Baylor, 84-91
Dec 19 - L at Texas-El Paso, 74-84
Jan 2 - L vs. Sam Houston St, 104-107
Jan 4 - W vs. Lamar, 99-85
Jan 9 - L at TX A&M-CC, 87-101
Jan 11 - L at Houston Baptist, 97-98
Jan 16 - L vs. Stephen F Austin, 58-74

"If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all."

Then I say we delete the men's basketball forum. :D

I kid but seriously this team is the worst in a long time and that is really saying something. Why does this guy even have a coaches show, it is an embarrassment to the university. Can't wait to read the article "New coach goes inside to beat Clarence Finley for the UCA job". Damnit Brad ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

In keeping with our men's basketball tradition I bet we hire Lamar's coach at the end of the season.

He said his players were stealing from the University by accepting scholarship money to play basketball.
