Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Since the move From D2 to D1 mostly all of the Bear athletic teams have made Steady progress, with some of them excelling on the field and In the classroom.... Football, volleyball, baseball , women's Basketball to name a few. Why has the men's basketball program having such a hard time Being competitive? It really puzzles me. Getting beat by 40 vs. La Tech is disgraceful to say the least. I don't think that they are a basketball power even in their own Conference. Anybody got a good answer? Oh well, looking forward to the Final football game on Saturday. _______________________ GO BEARS |

We have not had the right coach since making the move to D1. Maybe that is changing now. |

They returned everyone but one player. The wac poy is still at tech. Appleby. Tech is picked to win cusa this year. Tech was in the nit and beat fl st at fl st in the nit before losing in ot to so miss. La tech is an ncaa team this. The team you saw in your gym was what you are trying to get to. That team has won 47 games in the last 2 years, which is probably more wins than uca has lifetime in d1. So, yes a mid major basketball power did drop by your gym. Troy is probably a better yard stick at this point. I really think uca will be a good mid major at some point soon. Just the fact that rush is a basketball fan and can help guide things should give everyone here hope. Tough much is right at uca not to have a good bb team but tech is a top 10 mid major this year that can be ranked again in the top 25 ap pole this year. |
