Good article and what a great interview with coach...this guy is genuine and very well spoken. I can tell he has a long term plan for the program and has the best interest of the university as a priority. No doubt he will bring the BEARS to a new level both in the classroom and on the court. Wins will come with time...so rest easy BEAR FANS. The program just got a great leader for our student/athletes. Dr. Teague Has slowly but surely hired quality people with great integrity to mentor Your UCA BEARS....

We did not have a strong inside game which is not the players doing..... Miles was one if not the best offensive player in the league in spite of being doubeld almost all the time.....the tallest guys were 6'7 and all FR....they were two wins from returning to the tourney..... Team shot 45% for FGs (47% opponents) and outshot opponents for 3s by 37% to 35%....we were (7) per game in rebs and shot only 60% FTs.....but fewer TOs than opponents and more blocks and steals.... Without a strong inside game it puts great pressure on perimeter.... We will miss Miles and McClure a lot..... The others will have to show the new coach they can play and will do what is needed to be on the team...... I do not recall watching games where they gave up.....they beat Sam late season who was a pretty solid team... i'll bet the way the season turned out it hurt the coaches and players more than any of us as that was not what they expected.... |
