UNO comes back to win 94-82........

Bears ended mid point of H2 up 69-63 winning first 20 minutes of H2 by 26-19.......hung onto lead until 7:13 mark when UNO took 71-70 lead.......kept it close at 82-78 with 3:17 then bottom fell out.........as UNO outsocred Bears 12-4 the final couple minutes.........

UNO ended up +8 on FTs.............+9 on TOs and +17 points off TOs......Bears shot well....43% FGs and 50% 3s........Howard tallied 25/6 ......Brooks 16/5 .........Zuilhof added 5/11.......however, Kamba had 4 TOs and Zuilhof had 6.......Foreman, Kamba and Zuilhof fouled out.....

Careless TOs.......hard to win with top players on bench........not very happy with that.......defense was better early on in H2 but ball movement on offense much better.....getting down 9-0 to start was not acceptable........Demons got a home win tonight and will be looking for us to come to town.......

Bears shot pertty well at 49% FGs adn39%% 3s..were only 16/30 at the stripe and could ahve helped ourselves there for sure......somehow NWS had 16 more shots and made 7 more.........Bears had only 13 TOs but were down 3 and lost rebs 39-32..........got it to 43 at 12 minute mark then kept in the 5-9 range until late then let it slip to 14 with 4 to go but battled back to 8 at 2 mnutes and NWS finished with 8-0 run.......


Demon's Woodley had 30.........however, not good enough to lead all scorers as ....

Jordan Howard put up 37 for Bears on 57% FGs and 100% FTs and added 4 assists with only 2 TOs offensive exceptional game....... again.......Kamba added 11 and no one else in double digits.....

UNO at FC on Sat starting at 4pm...........let's get a win we let slip away at NOLA last week......

Last night's game was closer than people thought. NWST has the worst scoring defense in the league. Honestly, if we did not choke up on the free throws, we probably could have won last night. Another great game by Jordan. The guy is great player.

I am going to say I feel good about Saturday. I do. Can't wait to see them at home.

Goal was to get off to a fast start.........did just that........starters had some foul trouble and the bench played well........this is only one game but this is a glimpse of what we can be........have to be great at home to win championships......got to get ready for SELA next......

FGs 52%v40%......3s 41%v36%.....FTs 74%v58%.......+20 from FT line on 31-42.........SLU had four more 3s as a bright spot ....Bears +4 rebs......+12 PIP but SLU was +9 points off TOs.....after only 5 at half, Howard ended with 24 (12/13 FTs) ............Brooks was 18/9 and Kamba was 15/9..........Zuilhof was 10/7.......Foreman had 11.......

Coach: Energy and intensity there..got off to another good start..........hand check too much but workinng off match up zone and trying not to give up so many easy shots and FTs...... making progress on defense but still a ways to go........TOs still cost 23 points...........Brooks and Kamba stepped up with SLU putting attention on Howard......

Next Friday at Incarnate Word..best 3s team in conference.......have to get out on shooters and have to keep the offense going.......Howard will get lots of attention the rest of the way ......
