NWS 39-55=94 (4-9/7-16) UCA 49-58=107 (5-7/6-16) Great job by the Bears.......get out early, hold the lead, stop a late Demons move then finish it off.......... 55% FGs vs 39%...........NWS did hit 8 more 3s...seems we give up a lot of 3s.......only shot 64% FTs which needs to get better.......64 FTs combined in the game which is just way too many........49-34 reb advantage was great work with 16 o-rebs....but wait...24 assists.......terrific........only 9 TOs......much better........ Foreman leads with 22/11 night...........exceptional.......Kamba 16/10 and Zuilhof 15/10...both excellent.........Brooks 12/6 and Lowery 12/5..........Howard "only" had 19........... Down to the last 6 games.......3 on road and 3 at FC...........go 4-2 and end 9-9 in SLC play.....that would be a huge improvement........ Coach was pleased with the effort and praised the team for the many assists and really hitting the boards....... |

UCA 33-42=75 SHS 48-57=105 Well that is humbling........looks like never really in the game...........shot over 40% for FGs and 3s........but Kats shot 48% 3s and 57% FGs.............Bears out rebound Kats and get 17 o-rebs but Sam outsocred us 26-0 on points off TOs......ugh....... Howard 19/4/3............Foreman 16/3/2........Brooks 12/6/3.......Kamba a nice 7/9.. Next up at LC vs McNeese on Monday.......... |

SAM is a really tough place to play. The Bears are still learning....we are doing better at home, but have to learn how to win, particularly win on the road. Tough game on Monday in Lake Charles.... |

Bears 51% v 38% FGs....43% v 36% 3s..........83% FTs.........42 v 31 rebs.....TOs manageble at 13.......... Howard 24/2/4...........Brooks 23/5/3.........Kamba 20/9/2............when did we last have three in 20s..........Zuilhof 4/15/2/2 Coach must have been happy with this outcome............. SLU at Hammond on Sat then home to finish with three at The FC.......... |

What a nice road win. They are finding ways to win. They have a real good shot to finish conference with 10 wins. That's remarkable to think we have only played 9 guys each time we play. This team is showing a lot of character and heart. I am proud of the group and all the fans who stayed on board! |
