Bears playing well and battling........tied at 41 late in H1 then OSU had a short run to lead 50-42...........fought back to 54-50 at 16:51 mark............Howard has 16 |

70-62 OSU with 10:10 left Only in Stillwater do dead ball plays count..........in football, Central Michigan scores winning touchdown on a play AFTER the game had ended...........in basketball, OSU given credit for a 3 on a dead ball after Bears miss first of two FTs and OSU player rebounds and goes down to hit a 3..........then Bears are allowed to shoot the 2nd FT and get the ball out of bounds.........the officials just made that rule up............ |

UCA 42+48=90 OSU 50+52=102 Tied at 41 and trailed 63-62 before the dead ball 3pt allowed as noted below. Very good game and effort. UCA vs OSU FGs: 47% v 56% 3s: 60% vs 34% FTs: 28/39 vs 24/32 Rebs: 11/32 vs 11/37 TOs: 15 vs 17 Difference seems to be OSU got off to hot shooting night and built a lead then cooled off........Cowboys shot 29 3s and made 10...... vs Bears 6 for 10. Held our own on rebs and won TOs and FTs. Never got out of hand........had our chance to close late. Howard had 28, Kamba 19/10 and Brooks 17....wow.......... The odd play was described as officials as a "correctable error".......almost for sure this is fantasy and a serious misread of the rule....... Off to West Point for Chattanooga and Army/A-State in Game 2........ let's build on this and get a couple of wins.........should have confidence we played a pretty good B12 team very well......got behind early then played even all game.....winnable game that we let get away...........Go Bears!! |
