Played tough at Butler today but fall 82-58............Howard had 20 and Brooks added 15..........43% FGs to 49%.........32% 3s to 31% but Butler shot 13 more 3s.........both teams 9/14 FTs.............Butler was +8 on TOs and led to +12 points off........Butler inside game was a big difference at +18 points in paint

Howard 21, Brooks 14 and Kamba 11..........pretty even stats in most areas........TOs, rebs, assists,etc.....................Bears shot fantastic 86% FTs (18/21)..Bears even shot 44% for 3s (7/16) but Trojans won the game with 56% for 3s (15/27)...........

On the road at Michigan on Tuesday at 8pm...........

Little Rock just shot lights out from the three.

Our guys are getting there....much improved just not showing up in the won-lost column yet.

I'm sticking with them.

Bears are playing a pretty tough pre-season, but are hanging in and competing. Tuesday's game in Ann Arbor will be a great challenge and opportunity.

What does not kill me makes me stronger...

Always with my Bears (and SugarBears) .............no one more than the team wants to see wins start dropping..........have not seen them in person yet but just listening to the radio broadcast and looking at game stats, they are competing at a higher level...........have we ever had such an OOC schedule? Should make us better for SLC play...........Purple and Gray vs Maize and Blue at the Crisler Center next to the Big House...................

UCA is 222 this week.......

No mention of UCA game in press conference today....talked some about concern team may not be over trip to LA after late flight back........

Honestly, we're #222...why would they mention us? We're getting better but we're not even at the level of their practice squad yet. It's like Alabama football mentioning their game vs UAPB. I visited 4 of their fans message boards and NONE of them have even started a post about it. Having said that a victory would be awesome. Go Bears!

Bears don't look bad early in the game, but they're really out-sized.

Yikes! Down by 37 early in the 2nd half. Shots just aren't falling for the Bears.

Michigan shooting lights out tonight -- program record for 3-point buckets.

Bears fall to Michigan 97-53. Not a wholly unexpected result.

Bears had a few periods where nothing seemed to fall, compared to UM seemingly dropping everything they threw toward the basket.

A pretty good performance by UCA against a very good Big 10 team coming off a tough loss.

Games like this should prove really valuable in SLC play. I can't imagine any conference team will strike fear now.

RWs lead 44-39 at half........Bears were down by 10 with two minutes left

Unruh and Lowery have 9 and Howard 7 with 5 rebs......Kamba has 8 rebs

Difference in stats is really UCA had 3 more TOs and State turned into points.....Bears staying in game with decent 3s % and +6 FTs.......
