Made this a little too close...SBs hit a decent .298 to TAMCC's .267....Singleton has a terrific game hitting .438 with 26 kills ......Dittirch at .439 and Schnars was off at .239 with 17 kills but also 17 digs....Hjembo stepped up for 58 assists....SBs shot an awful .158 in Set 1 and only .213 in S4....middle sets much better at .359 and .485 hence the stong wins....

Now a week off until 10/30 at Northwestern State (7-3/10-13) then at SFA (10-0/17-7) on 11/1...hiuge matches...

This is what happens when you're the best!

Tonight starts a HUGE two game road swing for the Volleybears (Currently 10-0 in conference and 108 RPI)! They face off at Northwestern State (currently 7-4 and 255 RPI) tonight at 7. As shown above, they are trying to break their attendance record, so it will be loud, but they faced a huge crowd at Corpus Christi (currently 7-3 in conference [2nd place] with RPI 169) last outing and it didn't seem to throw them off too badly.
Northwestern State is going to go all out to knock us off. Hopefully we won't be looking to far ahead to SFA on Saturday and let them sneak up on us.
We play at SFA on Saturday at 1:00. SFA is currently 11-0 (don't play again until Saturday) and have an RPI of 142. They are going to have a crazy crowd for us when we come to town and this match will likely decide the conference regular season champ as we only place each other once (assuming we both win out from then on, we do face a great Oklahoma team to end the regular season, but that won't change our SLC standing).

Much better in second set but we still fall 23-25. Down to last possible set....NW State could play spoiler again...

I was afraid we would come out rusty because we haven't played a match in a while. We've got to come out really strong after the break and take it to 5!

7-10 NW State

We tied it up at 12, but now trail 13-17...getting close to getting swept.

That's it. 22-25. Now 10-1. Sfa on Saturday just became that much more important for us to win. If we beat them, we will own the tie-breaker.

Also, SLC win streak now snapped.
