Drop set two 13-25....we are on the cusp of falling to 1-5! I don't think I've seen that record since I've been following uca volleyball. |

Following along with the stats, it appears that ALL of our coaches have been given a yellow card at some point during this match. I don't think I've ever seen so many uca errors! |

Next weekend will be no easier - Florida State was a top 20 team last year (currently no. 8 in the AVCA coaches' poll) and LSU was top 40. Either of these teams would be a big win. Now's the time to hang tough... |

Definitely a challenging schedule to say the least. But, let's not get discouraged. Sugar Bears are still a very good team. There are SEC, Pac 12, Big 12, etc.... schools that aren't taking on a schedule like this. Plus, the loss of Brooks to injury compounds the problem. She is arugably the best "all around" player on the team (maybe the league) when it comes to back row play and front row play. She's a solid passer and defender and if you are missing someone that key in that area, I don't care how good your hitting and setting is. You have to have ball control!! Sugar Bears will figure things out and challenge for a conference title. You can take that to the bank. |

Well, we missed Scout yesterday for sure vs Tulsa. They played hard with 1st and 3rd games that could have gone either way...2nd game we were really out of sync...Tulsa had a couple of very good taller players we have a hard time getting the ball over or past in any way.....however, we lost quite a few points on serves that were long which was self inflicted.... tough schedule so far......absolutely no need to get discouraged... Does not get any easier this coming weekend at Florida State tourney..... |

Maybe it was the lack of Scout, maybe it was "quicksand" as Keanu Reeves described in The Replacements, maybe it was our youthfulness.Here's to hoping we get better with every shred of experience we get along the way. |
