SBs have crawled back to 8-7 but more importantly to 2-1 in SLC play.......they play two at home this week with Northwestern State (7-10/2-0) on Tuesday night and TAMCC (7-6/2-0) on Sat........both huge in SLC race.............. |

Watched the Sugarbears play NW state for a bit on the BNN and we are going to be down 0-2 in a few minutes. This team is playing like the young group they are. SOOO many self inflicted errors and giving them way too many points. Nothing may come from this seasons, but these players getting experience now will pay off down the road. |

@Lamar Falls 3-2.....won 1st and 3rd pretty well but looks like ran out of gas in 5th losing 15-8...........now 8-10(2-4)..........got some work to do................. |

VolleyBears now 3-5/9-11 after a nice home win last night by 3-0 over SELA (25-10,-25-15, 25-15). Shot .402 for the match while Lions could only hit .025!! Anderson hit 563, Dunn 462, Nash 455, Peters 444 and Tippett 348. Hit that well with 14 blocks on defense is usually good results. The prior four outings were 0-4 with losses to Northwestern State (0-3), TAMCC (0-3), Lamar (2-3) and HBU (1-3). Shot only .099 and .188 in the first two games and better at 251 and 233 in the latter matches. Take on UNO tomorrow night at The Prince...hope the students turn out. Go VolleyBears!! |

Nice 3-0 shutout today of UNO............Nash hit 538 and Tippett 522......... Tppett had 13 kills and Anderson 9........good job to move to 4-5/10-11.......... |

Hammond has been good for bears this week as SBs win tonight 3-1 in volleyball to move to 6-7/12-13. Lost first set 29-27 then reeled off three in a row............25-19.....25-14...25-22...... Poor shots in first two games with average of about 120.much better in final two sets at about 290........Lions shot even worse at 112 for the match..... Allen shot 462 and Anderson a solid 370 while Tippett led with 17 kills but shot only 180............ SBs +8 on service aces and +6 on blocks...... Next at Northwestern State on Sat...demons own last matchups a couple weeks ago by 3-0..........SBs have now won 4 of last 6......... |

SBs close out regular season with 3-1 win over Sam Houston State and 3-0 over SFA. Finished with five game win streak at the end and 7-2 since loss to HBU. Ended up 9-7/15-13. Open play in SLC Tourney against HBU Friday at the Farris Center. Lost to HBU at their place 3-1 in October. Go VolleyBears!! |
