I've talked to some of the players...they barely remember it. They've moved on.

4/11/14 at Nicholls State
FINAL

UCA 0-6-2 (6-7/17-14)
NSU 4-7-0 (9-4/18-18)

Votolato goes 2/4 and that's about it for offense...10 baserunners and no runs...no extra base hits while Nicholls had thre doubles....hard to win that way....Biggerstaff has solid outing going 7 with only 2 ERs ...Stitch struggles in relief giving up a run and getting no outs in 8th....errors continue to hurt Bears...NSU lead off runner gets on with an error and edns up scoring what is the winning run.. 4th run comes on throwing error by our catcher....Colonels also turned two double plays....need to find some runs tomorrow and Sunday and sneak a win or two....

Top of 6th: Bears trail 1-0.....great pitching duel as Biggerstaff has a one hitter ...Bears have had 7 base runenrs but has not been able to get one in.....

This team has been very disappointing this season. They show signs of greatness one game and then the next its like they forget how to play baseball.

They didn't peak till the very end of the season last year. Let's hope they are saving the best for last.

The good news is that Bears did not lose a DH on Saturday (sounded odd but that is what the scoreboard said) and they pulled out a 4-3 win on Sunday over Nicholls to move to 6-8/18-15.

The bad news is we have not replaced the lost power from last year and we have really struggled withthe bat. Pitching has been very solid. We are better but still too many errors.

All is not lost by far. First, Bears are 5-6 against SLC teams that are 37-23 in SLC play.......McNeese who we play this week is 10-5 in SLC play but are 9-3 vs teams 27-33.....in short, we have already played 4 of the Top 6 teams......after McNeese, our remaining 4 SLC opponents are currently 23-31. Second, we can still get a good run down the stretch and go into the tourney on an uptick. Third, warmer weather will help our pitchers even more and we can be dominating.

I agree the end of the season schedule is very nice, should pick up at least 5 wins in the last two series alone if we show up to actually play.
