Terrific come back win...excellent mid week pitching as Markel goes 7 and Rand/Stitch wrap it up.....Bear hurlers combine for 8 Ks...RWs pitching also superb with 15 Ks...Treece and Montalvo get two hits each....Montalvo gets walk off rbi scoring Zimmerle who had doubled.....

This weekend's opponent (NWS) fell 8-1 in Fayetteville tonight.....

Hawkins for ASU was on fire. ASU pitching was wore out and he was their last breath though.

Markel sounded like he had the flu on Steve Os interview.

Great win for the Bears! =D>

I know Tyler Zuber and hate that he was their guy to give up the two runs.

It was a pretty so-so atmosphere until the 7th and things got exciting. I had to leave after the 7th to get the kids in bed, but we were able to watch the bottom of the ninth on the computer (don't tell their mom).

Good midweek win. ASU's RPI was 45 before last night. 15 strikeouts is a LOT. But, somehow the hits we got were timely. Treece was a big part of the scoring yesterday. And Votolato made some long runs in the outfield to track down some balls ASU hit hard before he came up with the huge hit to tie it up in the 7th. He's really had a great senior season.

Every year under Gum I'm amazed at how the Bears continue to win with small ball while having pretty much zero power. We've hit 7 total homers this season. UALR has a single player with 7 this season. They've hit 24 as a team. We even have a lower average than UALR, but a much higher OB%.

UALR lost to UAPB in extras last night, and it's not like they needed more motivation with us. I'm probably going to miss the first four innings tonight because of a meeting, but I hope to be there for the rest.

NWST used 7 pitchers in their 15-3 loss in Fayetteville today so maybe that'll help us out some
