I agree. Being able to get a couple of sweeps does give us a little breathing room for series that we come out flat in, but it would be nice to avoid being swept. It is somewhat understandable on the road, but it certainly cannot happen at home. Looking forward to this weekend so I can make the trip down and enjoy some nice weather, a few cold ones, and seeing my Bears play some baseball. We could be 9-3 in SLC play after next weekend!

Pig RPI is only that high because they played #1 LSU. Imagine the crash if they had lost those games or NOT played them! :shock:

RPI will adjust as the season goes along. Tougher competition usually shows up in the conference.

Way too early for RPIs to mean much......I have a feeling HBU may be better than some may think......maybe we left our bats at home or maybe they have pretty good pitching...need to get the bats going.....tomorrow vs UALR would be a good time to start...

I went to that game. Started off shaky loading the bases in the first inning. Then came the double play to save it!

We got 9 runs in the first inning. Amazing. Their pitcher just lobbed them over the plate and our guys smacked 'em! As the scores tallied up he looked more nervous. Their whole team looked like they were just there to play the game and go home.

Numerous hit batters to start the game 6 or 7 if I remember correctly. Our pitching didn't look impressive but slowly got better.

They changed pitchers but we still were able to get a couple each inning. Later we changed infield players like our first baseman.

Guys we have a really good team that had a freakish series against HBU. I think that was a wake up call.

Last two games much better results.....always good to win the first game of a series....this team has potential....
