Bears fall at OU 0-7. Next up is Southern Illinois in Carbondale (Th, Fr, Sat). SIU is currently 5-22. It would be nice to see a sweep on the road.

This weekend series is big. Salukis are not off to a very good start, but this is baseball. We need to score early and often. I would hate to see a game get away because we let a less than average team hang around with us. I realize a sweep against anyone is easier said than done, but I don't think we should settle for anything less. A sweep this weekend on the road would be nice before we come home next week to a tricky UAPB club. UAPB is still a team we should beat without a doubt, but they are better than they have been in the past. They are right around .500 with a couple big road wins over Mississippi State (2-1) & Mizzou (8-3), and a close L to Ole Miss (7-6) on a walk off in the 9th. As long as we take care of business, we should be 18-9 (8-4) when Nicholls rolls into Conway on April 10. GO BEARS!

Great job on the road........hard to belevee we have never played them in baseball......need to get another win tomorrow.....now 8-4/15-9.....they are 5-23 but have 17 losses at TCU, Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Wetsern Kentucky, Belmont, Wichita State, Northern Illinois...but also wins over Eastern KY, Northern Illinois and Illinois (wow...must be the reason the state is in such bad shape if the "flagship" plays and loses to a directional in-state school..sure glad our state is not like that).....
