Two close losses this weekend, even though we never scored more than 3 runs in a game. Good pitching by SFA or subpar hitting by us? Maybe a little of both. SFA was giving up just 4 per game before the series started. Going down today on a wild pitch in the 10th isn't a great way to lose it. As '52 pointed out, 6 errors today; but only 1 unearned run. Fortunate in that sense, but unfortunate that one less run could have resulted in a win. SFA was picked to finish 5th in the conference. Next up is Lamar, picked 3rd, wins over Rice, Cal State-Northridge (2), and sweep of Nicholls this weekend. |
