#2 in the Southland behind SELA. Not bad!

#1 in my eyes, of course, I`m a little biased.

I will gladly take #2 in the SLC. Having said that, I do think that McNeese has a better playing surface, Sam Houston's field/stadium in reality is probaly the best in the conference, and ORU had a unique, but old, stadium as well. If we had a completely level outfield, a new (padded) wall, and covered cages I think we might have the best in the conference hands down. It would help to extend the stands out over the dugouts as well. This unfortunately does cost a good chunk of $ as we are all aware of.

I think as long as Coach Gum keeps taking teams to the SLC Championship (and we can keep him), eventually they have to break into/win a Regional. The more publicity we recieve, the more upgrades baseball should get. The 2013 Bears were placed in the toughest Regional that year and still almost made their way to a Super Regional. After watching the 2015 Bears play their Fall World Series, I think this may be the biggest and most talented/athletic team to come through UCA. That being said, they will have to come together and play as a team. The 2013 team wasnt the most talented team, but they scratched and clawed for 9 full innings and played really well together. If the 2015 Bears can do that, we may all be booking a hotel for our 1st trip to Omaha this summer. Surely that would encourage a few upgrades to "The Bear".
