As a senior on the 2013 team, the preseason polls look very familiar. I was glad that I had the chance to watch the team play a couple FWS games while I was in town back in October (I think). Physically they look bigger, faster, stronger, and overall more athletic than any other team to come through UCA in the past 5 years. Having said that, it all depends on how well they play together. Even though we had 10 seniors on the 2013 team, there was an unexplainable confidence and trust we had in each other to make plays and stay within our approach collectively as well. My two biggest question marks are obviously whether the team chemistry is there or not, and pitching. Seems like the last two years our pitching has started to run thin at the end of the year. I know a couple guys were injured last year, but when you get into May/June, it helps to have some depth in the bullpen. Anxious to see how the Bears do this year!

Also hoping the SEC Network puts the UCA - MSU game on since the last 7 games have been such great match-ups (UCA leads series 4-3).

GO BEARS!

Just guessing that Bird does more to support his Alma Mater than Pippen.

Nice honor for Bears SS.....

ALSO....

CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas baseball schedule has changed for the upcoming weekend because of expected winter weather returning to the Conway area on Friday.

The Bears will now host Eastern Illinois in a three-game series, beginning with a noon doubleheader on Sunday. Game 3 is set for 1 p.m. Monday at Bear Stadium.

UCA was originally set to host EIU and Memphis in a round-robin format beginning on Friday. UCA's home debut against UALR set for today was already rescheduled for March 25 because of weather conditions. UCA's home opener is now set for noon Sunday.

NOTE....EIU is 0-3 but opened at Athens vs UGA.....
