Not a good outing for the purple bears. Lost 12-1! MSU is darn good (ranked #25), but I was expecting better from our Bears. Hopefully the games tomorrow will have a better result! |

http://www.ucasports.com/news/2016/2/20/BB_0220165545.aspx?path=baseball Drop DH 6-5 and 10-6.........played much better today......what the series proved is we shoud not be ranked in Top 25.......Game 1 today was a great chance to win but it seems to be a case of relief pitching where theirs shut us down and we could not get them out.......we had 16 baserunners to 13.......only hit about 200 in the DH but still scored 11 runs.........had 4 extra base hits but also committed 5 errors..........pitchers had 13 Ks but also 8 BB/HBP...... Good first test.......get Tenn Tech for two on T/W then Eastern Illinois for three next weekend............. |

http://www.ucasports.com/news/2016/2/24/BB_0224160308.aspx?path=baseball Good to get the first win today over Tenn Tech by 14-6.........pitching stats lok decent with 10/3 K/BB ratio and 9 hits but three were extra bases still threw 144 pitches....very early.......Bears had no fielding errors...........25+ baserunners for Bears with 17 hits including 3 Xs.........added 3 SBs and gave up none........ EIU in this weekend for four games........let's hope for good weather to get games in.........Panthers will think anything Conway offers is nice after what they got today in Illinois (snow, 30 mph winds and subfreezing temps)......Go Bears!! |
