Regroup and get the series at SEMO this weekend..........now 5-4.......... |

Pitching givs up 10 hits, 10 BBs and a HBP..........21 baserunners.......how did they only score 6 of which 4 came in 8th.......then we get 11 baserunners and cannot get a timely hit..........5 hits but no extrabase hits.......that's baseball........ Go at it again tomorrow.............. |

http://www.ucasports.com/boxscore.aspx?path=baseball&id=2247 UCA 1-4-1 (6-5) SEMO 0-7-0 (5-5) Really good pitching duel as Cody Davenport (2-0) goes the distance for Bears for the shutout.........7 hits, 9Ks and 1 BB..........119 pitches......excellent.....SEMO got 8 from their starter giving up no runs, 2 hits with 14Ks and no BBs........ pretty salty early season outings.......... Ty Tice gets one hit for 1 rbi driving in Tyler Langley for the only run............. Series finale at 1pm on Sunday.........Go Bears!! |

Bears sweep Jacks to move to 3-0/9-6...............great weekend...........Go Bears!! Game 1: SFA 7-13-1 UCA 9-8-2 SFA pitchers walked 8 vs only 2 for Bears. Game 2: SFA 2-7-0 UCA 3-8-0 Both starters go solid 7 but Bears get two in 9th on rbis by Monrtalvo and Preston's walk off. Game 3: SFA 4-6-0 UCA 5-13-0 Durham (gets win) and Murray combine for 2 hit shut out in 4.1 innngs of rrelief to preserve the win. |

Game 2: UCA 6-9-2 LU 7-10-2 Came from behind to tie in top of 9th but loaded bases in bottom and LU had a walk off single to win............Preston and White each went 2/4 .... Much better game than yesterday...........be really nice to win the finale tomorrow.....now 3-2/9-9........... |

Game 1: HBU 0-4-0 (2-2/10-12) UCA 11-9-0 (4-2/10-10) http://www.ucasports.com/boxscore.aspx?path=baseball&id=2258 Bears took early lead then explsoed for 7 in 8th to put gaem out of reach........Gilmore goes the distance for a 4-hit shutout with no BB/HBP......Tice, Preston and Anderson each gather two hits and 5 rbis between them.......Hancock drives in another 3.......hope we saved runs for next two games........Go Bears!! |

Game 2: HBU 7-12-2 (2-3/10-13) UCA 8-11-2 (5-2/11-10) Bears fall behind 6-0 then work their way back with a walk off run in 9th to take Game 2. Huskies pitcvhers not only gave up 11 hits but also 4 BBs and 5 HBP while Bears had 6 Ks, 2 HBP and NO BBs.............DAvenoort strated and got roughed up early then Beier out of the pen gave up only 1 run on only 4 hits for the win. Hancock collected 3 hits while Langley and Montalvo had 2 each........Haun onlyu had one hit but singled up the middle in 9th, steals 2B and takes 3rd on throwing error and scored on Langley's game winner.........excellent come back ...............need to close out with sweep tomorrow....Go Bears |
