Will be leaving to be closer to home. Jordan Hill left to go to Dallas Baptist last month and the strength and conditioning coach is leaving as well. I am sure Harlan will come up with good replacements but these were good men leaving the university. |

Not that it matters since I only saw him in the first base box (and a few hours at 7yo baseball camp), but I always liked Hill. Always heard good things about Kline too. Our conference rankings since he arrived : 2016 - BA 8th; 2B 8th; HR 8th; SB 9th; Ks 11th 2015 - BA 8th; 2B tied for 4th; HR tied for 3rd; SB 11th; Ks 7th 2014 - BA 8th; 2B 10th; HR 9th; SB tied for 6th; Ks 14th (last) We for sure had some great hitters during that time though. I was mostly intrigued by your comment about Harlan coming up with replacements instead of saying that about Gum. Mental mistake? Or something else? |

I don't know much about their coaching ability but I know they were good men that were highly respected by the players. I know UCA's hitting philosophy is more gap to gap than for homers due to it being a big field and not homer friendly. Excited to go see some scrimmages in a couple weeks. I think sept 15 is their full squad practice. |
