#5 UCA vs #4 HBU UCA 15-12-2 (1-0/32-24) HBU 4-7-1 (0-1/26-24) Fast start scoring 1 in 1st, 3 in 2nd and 7 in 3rd..........added 3 more in T7 to earn a run rule win..............lead off batter Presley was only 1/3 but had 3 BBs, 3 runs cored and 5 rbis with a HR........McCurdy, Strong, Aquilar and Sanchez each tallied 2 rbis .......Gray goes a solid 5 for the win and Murray closes up the final 2....... #1 McNeese tomorrow night at 7pm.......... nice game call by Steve O......... |

#1 McNeese vs #5 UCA MSU 3-5-1 (1-1/37-19) UCA 5-9-1 (2-0/33-24) All 8 runs scored in two consecutive frames then goose eggs.......McCurdy, Strong and Ballisterri each had a rbi and 5 different Bears scored a run........neither team had an extra bases hit..........McCurdy, Aquilar, Ballisterri and Wright each had two hits..........Moyer was on his way thru 5 when the Bears put up their 5 then Boys roared back in T6 as Moyer had some control issues and walks........a near miss on a grand slam kept the McNeese damage in 6th to only 3 runs........Hagerla put out the fire and held the Cowboys in check the rest of the way for the save. Had to scratch to win this one but it counts the same...... Bears lay again Friday night at 7pm and get a rematch with either HBU or MSU.......Go Bears!!! |
