"This season with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Stone got off to a slow start but has been much more efficient in his previous two outings, allowing one run and striking out 15 over 9 2/3 innings of work. If Stone gets called up, as expected, the Dodgers will be doing so with the idea to give their starting pitchers an extra day of rest. Los Angeles has asked Clayton Kershaw, Julio Urías and Dustin May to take down a lot of innings given the struggles of the Dodgers bullpen. Bringing Stone up gives those starters some extra rest and allows the young right-hander to make his Major League debut at home. It’s unknown if Stone will make more than one start or if he’ll be sent back down to the Minors after his expected debut on Wednesday." |

Gavin got his expected start today vs Phillies.....4 IP, 5R, 4ER, 8H, 1K, 2BB.....77 pitches with 47 strikes...one pitch timer violation...attendance=36,539....Dodgers came from behind to win in bottom of 9th by 10-6..... |
