He's all grown up now and changed his name from Michael.
And he's also got a big-time job!

Quote:
Graham also announced that Bill Blankenship will serve as Tulsa's new special teams coordinator, while former graduate assistant Mike Norvell will take over Blankenship's old role as receivers coach.

We'll get to see Mike in action as a coach next season.
He'd still look like a 12 year old if he shaved.

Congratulations Mike.

Maybe he can coach his receivers to drop the ball when we play Tulsa next year! Just kidding, wouldn't want him to lose his job. Congrats!

He is definitely one of a kind. Gave up his favorite mule for an 18 year-old blonde and moved her out to the Rockies. She left him high and dry shortly after making their home in a bear cave. He's still trying to figure out why the relationship didn't last too long. #-o
Anyway, he sent me a Christmas card and said he was on the mend. Said the she bear he was sharing the cave with is a real good hunter. He does the cooking for them. Said she was starting to look real good too. Said he had to untrain her from scratching his back though. Like to took the hide right off him with them claws.
Said after spring thaw he will send another card with an update. Said he wanted to see this Brown bear guy that he saw on ESPN. Said he must be one helluva quarterback.
Monty, if I can get him down here this fall for a game or two I'll be sure you two get to meet. For some reason you both have a lot in common.

We all knew Mike went from GA to receivers coach, but I didn't know the second part of his title/responsibilities:

"Graham also promoted graduate assistant Mike Norvell to receivers coach and passing game coordinator"

On Rivals, Mike is credited with three of TU's recruits so far.
Two of those list offers from Auburn and LSU.

Golden Hurricane football hits Louisiana lottery

Quote:
...

While head coach Todd Graham gets credit for TU's blitz into Louisiana, he quickly points out the job that assistant Mike Norvell has done working the state.

"He's a bright star, there's no doubt about it," Graham said of the 27-year-old Norvell. "Mike is a tremendous recruiter and is genuinely authentic. His passion is what separates him. That's what people see in him."

Graham isn't the only one giving credit to Norvell.

"Mike is a relentless recruiter, honest and does everything by the book," Dauterive said. "He didn't get six good players from Louisiana, he got six great players. (Gus) Malzahn started the pipeline, and Mike took over from there."
