The Ladies Soccer Team beat Troy 1-0 today to post their 3rd strait shutout and 4th in 5. They are also on a 5 game unbeaten streak (ties count as unbeaten) and improve their record to 4-2-1!!

The men on the other hand continue to struggle with their horrible road schedule by dropping their 4th straight 4-1 against Bradley...this is the Bear's longest streak since 2001 and drops their record to 3-5.

Are the men just struggling with the tougher schedule, or are they traditionally bad?

I wish we had a men's soccer team. Ladyback soccer is fun though.

THey are just having trouble with traveling on the road ALL THE TIME!! The men's team made it to numbers NCAA Tournaments making it to the quarterfinals a couple of times....they are generally very good, but that was d2 so I don't know for certain, but look at this schedule:http://www.ucasports.com/sport.asp?action=schedule&sportid=2
Only one regular season home game ALL YEAR!!

As josh said, they were expected to be one of the sports that transitioned quickly because of their strong performances over the last few years in DII.

I think it's come as a shock to most every one. But the season is just halfway over. Maybe they can go on a run to close out the season.

The new conference (SLC) doesn't have men's soccer.
Instead of drop the program at UCA, the word was they were attempting to find a conference for them to play soccer in. I have no idea what's going on with that or if it's still being worked on.
But, hopefully - even without a conference - next year won't be anything like this.
