UCA 10-9-1 (14-7) Chattannoga 3-10-2 Ladies get 7 in top of 9th for the extra inning win.................congrats to Forrest and Taylor on new school records for career hits and career rbis....... Overall good weekend in Starkville........came close to 4-1............ Spilt today at SFA.............now 4-2/18-10........Go to Itta Bena on Tuesday and Starkville on Wed then home next weekdn for series with ACU..... G1: UCA 7-7-1 SFA 9-10-1 Struck out 7x.........gave up 7 BB/HBP........ G2: UCA 7-8-1 SFA 2-5-0 Complete game by Landeros with 4 Ks and only 2 BB/HBP.........Forrest, Taylor, Myers ans Gunnells each hit their first HR of the season...... |

Games 1 and 2 today at home vs ACU........ We take opener 4-1 but drop 2nd by 3-2...........Landeros pitches solid Game 1 with 6 Ks and Gunnells hits HR #1........Gomness and Landeros combine for a olid pitching effort and 8Ks with no BBs.........led 2-0 thru 6 then two fielding errors in 7th led to 2-2 game and one out fielding error in 8th puts winning runner on base who scores on single............... need to win tomorrow to keep pace with Wildcats in standings........Go Bears!! Game 2: ACU 3-4-2 (6-2/12-13) UCA 2-4-4 (5-3/21-11) Game 1: ACU 1-7-0 UCA 4-9-0 |

http://www.ucasports.com/news/2016/3/29/SB_0329.aspx?path=softball JSU 0-2-1 (2-16) UCA 3-5-0 (6-3/23-11) Jackson State did a good job on the mound to hold down the score and getting a complete game but gave up 4 BBs.........M--State Bulldog killer Kayla Gomness ptiched the 2 hit shut out complete game and a very efficient 76 pitches......Bailey Reynolds hit HR #1.......... Now off to south LA and a series this weekend with Nicholls State who are 1/2 game ahead of Bears at 6-2/19-12..........need to win series at least..........Go UCA!! |

Tough day in Thibadeaux as Softball Bears drop a DH....fall in Game 1 by 2-1 in 10 gibving up two unearned runs in bottom of 10th...drop Game to by 5-0..........now 6-5/23-13...............Game 3 Sunday.... |

Game 3, 10 innings UCA 2-9-0 (6-6/23-14) NSU 3-10-2 Did not see a series by Nicholls coming........Landeros goes 9.1 for UCA for the loss.........just could not get timely hits and left 13 on base........Forrest, Whisenhunt and Stirton each had two hits.......... Next game is Tuesday at home vs Memphis then to Mo State on Wed adn home series vs Northwestern State |

Sweep Northwestern State for some much needed SLC wins..............now 9-6/28-14....... Big home game vs Oklahoma State (20-17 and just swept Iowa State at Stillwater) on Wed before a big SLC series at Hammond (5-10/19-20) |
