Both teams opned at the Memphis Twilight which is a night run (still very warm and humid)...men run 4 miles adn women 5k......Bears did very well taking 2nd to Alabama but beating several middle of the pack SEC XC teams................Bears top runner was a FR in 10th place.......first 5 ran under 21 mintes which shows some depth and potential for conference meet later where they will run 5 miles (actually 8k).....SugarBears still young .......

Both teams ran at Texas A&M. This is the location for the NCAA Regional later ths fall. The second team ran at Rhodes in Memphis, a pretty tough course, especially when warm.

TAM Women's Meet
http://www.flashresults.com/2016_Meets/xc/TamuInvite/001-1_compiled.htm

Brigette Caruthers ran a very solid 42nd at Texas A&M Invitational on 9/26 in 21:49 over 6k (5:51 per mile).

Abilene Christian has two in Top 10.......good for SLC.....

TAM Men's Meet
http://www.flashresults.com/2016_Meets/xc/TamuInvite/002-1_compiled.htm

Top Bear in men's 8K race was Julien Jeandree in 60th (out of over 150 finishers) at 25:09 at 5:02 per mile..........first four Bears were only 19 seocnds apart which is excellent.need to get the 5th runner up closer........run this bunched up at SLC meet and a little faster and will do well..........

Both teams at Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville. Very good cross country course and over 400 runners in each race which is pertty normal. This is one the old standby NCAA regional meet courses and pretty challenging, especially if windy. Very good prep for SLC championship.

Bears were 9th of 15 and were very nary 6th..........they beat LSU, UL-Monroe and SEMO among others....they also has a narrow 21 seconds timing solid between the 1st and 5th runner which is excellent..........avg time over 8k (5 miles) was 25:35........

SuagrBears were 11th of 17 and beat LSU, Baylor, Texas State among others......avg time was 18:24 over 6k but 1-5 split needs to get tighter.........
