Indoor season is nearly over with the SLC meet next weekend at Birmingham (the Crossplex is one of the better indoor venues in US even though not in SLC geographic area0. Some nice marks so far........... At Jayhawk in late January............ M60m: 5 Jewell, Zackary 6.91.....pretty solid......takes 6.75 or better to get to D1 nationals M6ooy: 1 Lawson, Daniel 1:14.45 .......this is a 1:49 800m pace W600y: 1 Gibson, Samantha 1:27.16 (wow...they went 1-2-3 with 2:09 or better pace for 800m) 2 Campfield, Victoria 1:30.87 3 Ellis, Samantha 1:31.37 M200: 1 Jewell, Zackary 21.89 MHJ: 1 Moore, Eric 2.04m (6’8)……...remember Eric made NCAA finals last year at 7”2 At Saluki Invite........ M60m: 2 Zachary JEWELL FR Central Arkansas 6.83.very good M3000M..........credible......it will take 7:50 to win D1 nationals....... so maybe able to get some points at SLC James Hamilton 8:43 Brant Cook 8:44 MHJ; Eric Moore, 6'9" We have a number of athletes on the verge of being able to score at SLC..........several distance runners on both teams need to get a bit faster..... 4x400m relay teams need to put a good race together........... |

MPV won by SLU vaulter at 18'1" and SFA in 2nd at 17' 9".these are really good marks...... |

By the way, UCA;s Eric Moore had he been jumping in the SEC Indoor would have been Top 5 and maybe Top 3............his personal best would have been Top 2........ |

@Kansas Relays Zachary Jewell posted a pretty solid 10....36 for 100m..for us old timers that would have been a 9.4 100 yard dash.........very nice............49th nationally and 4th in SLC.........he then posted a 21.36 for 200m which is solid..............really takes high 20s to get noticed in D1..........but that might be doable.... Ajaj Criner's 24.54 in the W200m is nice........... At the UCA Open two weeks ago, Eric Moore cleared 6' 10.75" in the high jump which puts him about 60th in D1.........he has some work to do to get back to NCAAs but one good jump over 7' which is well within his best is just a little bit more...........HJ is all about timing and micro inches of where you take off....... |
