TAMCC@UCA Game3: TCC 3-6-5 (3-12/7-32) UCA 11-14-2 (7-8/21-20) Sanchez back in the circle for another strong outing and complete game win...Tyler Vernon leads offense with 3/4, a double, a HR and 4 rbis…...Blackburn gets another two rbis…..Felts 3/4 with a rbi…….always good to win a series ….just wish we had the sweep...…..big series next two weekends on road at McNeese then Southeastern..Go Bears!! Game 2: TCC 10-14-3 (3-11) UCA 5-10-1 (6-8/20-20)) 5 run 6th dooms Bears....10 LOB....Crutchmer goes 3/4 with an rbi…...Morris 2/4 with a double and rbi…..pitchers just could not get out with out giving up runs......got to bounce back strong tomorrow against a team with only 7 wins..... Game 1: TCC 2-6-2 (2-11/6-31) UCA 13-13-0 (6-7/20-19) Strong complete game by Sanchez...…..Hill was 1/2 with a HR and 4 rbis……..Blackburn goes 2/2 with a double and 2 rbis……. |

@McNeese Tough to be swept this late in season...…….loses 0-3, 1-4 and 0-10......drops to 7-11 and 21-23...….next weekend at Hammond looms large for the tourney.... |

@SLU Game 3: UCA 5-9-1 (8-13/22-25) SLU 3-9-1 (14-728-18) Much needed win.....came from behind with 3 on HRs by Hill and Shephard in 6th to take the lead...each also had a double...…….Shephard had 3 rbis….Haberman got the complete game win...….Go Bears!! Game 2: UCA 4-9-1 (7-13) SLU 5-5-3 (14-6) Plenty of hitting with a double by Felts and a HR by Vernon but 8 LOB....led 4-1 but could not hold...... Game 1: UCA 2-7-0 (7-12) SLU 3-3-1 (13-6) Great effort vs Lions...…...solid complete game by Sanchez but a 2 run HR in 5th was the killer...…….Morris and Hill combined for 5 hits but just not enough...….. |

HBU@UCA Huge series sweep to reach 11-13/25-25......avg attendance over 350.....grab 8th seed in tourney with last series on road at Northwestern State who is 13-11....have to sweep to improve seed...…….Go Bears!!! Game 3: HBU 2-4-0 (7-17) UCA 7-10-2 (11-13) Reaves and Habermehl combine to give up only 2 baserunners although both HRs...…….Felts and Morris each tallied 2 hits and 2 rbis…….. Game 2 of DH: HBU 4-10-1 (7-16) UCA 5-9-3 (10-13) Sheherd's HR in 5th gave Bears the lead...Sanchez came back for 2 IP of relief for the save.... Game 1 of DH: HBU 0-1-1 (7-15) UCA 3-5-1 (9-13) Sanchez throws the shutout complete game with 7Ks..... |

Just for fun...…. BearKats (22-5/35-21) beat #9 Texas 2-1 in opening game of the Austin Regional.....how rude...….the unthinkable...……….. orange beats orange...……….we got within a couple of runs of SHS in two games...…..probably no surprise to SLC teams who got whipped by SHS routinely this season...…..now they play Houston in winner's bracket...…….Go Kats!! UPDATE.....fun never last forever.....#9 Horns come back to win regional and get to visit Tuscaloosa and #8 Bama. |

Losing to Ok State turned out to be well earned...…..Cowgirls in their regional at Stillwater going 3-0 with wins over BYU (3-1), Tulsa (13-10) and Tulsa (2-1). Tulsa defeated BYU and Arkansas to make finals. #13 OSU now gets a trip to Tallahassee to take on #4 Florida State in the super-regional. UPDATE: Cowgirls upset #4 Florida State in super regional and move into final 8.....others included with no surprise #1 OU, #8 Alabama, #5 Florida and #2 UCLA plus #7 Minnesota, #6 Arizona and #3 Washington |

FRISCO, Texas – University of Central Arkansas softball utility player Morgan Felts was named to the Southland Conference All-Academic for the second time in 2019, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Felts was tabbed to the Second Team All-Academic squad after also being selected to the Second Team All-Southland Conference team in May. She finished her career in Conway earning a 3.85 GPA in her final semester with the Bears and graduated with a degree in psychology in May. The Conway native hit .313 during conference play her senior season and ranks top-10 in program history in career stolen bases. She is currently pursuing a career in physical therapy. |
