We lost several players on our defense from last year and I must say, that although McNeese typically tries to stay clear of transfers (especially those that have less than 3 years left to offer us), we really needed the help on defense this year so this is welcome news.

When we do take transfers, our coaches prefer it to be kids that they recruited while in HS and later decided they weren't happy after all for whatever reason.

We are loaded at TE so I think the Turnage kid from A&M will end up at DE for us. He played both TE and DE in HS, and A&M's fans are saying that he is athletic enough to play either possition. His older brother (David) was a LB and just graduated from McNeese. I think even the Keys kid will get a look at DB for us too because we are pretty strong at the WR possition as well.

The Sulivan kid is the 3rd kid from Brenham High on our team and the Head Coach at Brenham is high on McNeese's program so we were hoping to get Jared Lee from LSU had Less Miles released him, but that didn't happen. Our QB will be a 5th year senior that has started since game 5 of his Freshman year for us. We will need a replacement at QB in 2010, but I think Foureaux's little brother Zack and another recruit that I think we will get this year will be good for the future of the program..

Here is the info on the McTranfers that will be out for spring training with us.
